Talks a lot about kernels, the differences(micro, hybrid, monolithic), how unix, mach, and linux are the same, different.
Focuses on OS X, but is a nice vid for any power user.

    12?????
I was 13 before I got my first proper computer. I was only just confident enough in my ability, or spare time potential, to go ahead with Linux last year- at 16!!!. And your dabbling around with making your own distro. All I can say is good on you; keep going!

I don't have the programming knowledge to understand what some of the roles of various operating system components were, but other than that the lecture clarified quite a few things. I would recommend it for more advanced users.

yes, good video. But you do kneed <del> goggle </del> a good knowledge base to understand the video.

BTW, Why photographs? Dental records and birth certificates are far more accurate for telling someones age.

Why do you need a good knowledge base? I understood it perfectly, although i do a lot of Linux reading i don't consider myself a Guru.
