Planning on buying a Dell Vostro 2520.. which comes preloaded with Ubuntu.. Ive searched google but found no results or demonstrations on installing windows 8 on a laptop with Ubuntu.. Is it possible in the first place to do this?

Should be similar to installing any other version of Windows on a normal PC, assuming you have the Windows 8 disc on hand enter the system BIOS (I think it's F2 for Dell Vostro) and change the boot sequence to allow the DVD/CD drive to be booted first. Save the changes and restart the system, with the disc inside it should then boot to the Windows 8 setup screen. From here it should be straightforward to install.
