One of my friends showed me vista's network mapping utility. It wasn't 100% correct, but it was pretty neat. Is there any software under linux that I can use to graphically map a network? Possibly something that parses the output from nmap?

I've never used vista, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

However, a long time ago I used to use xtraceroute on a regular basis. I thought it was pretty neat. Looks like it hasn't been updated in a while, but perhaps this is what you're thinking of?
