So I was able to snag a free copy of CrossOver from CodeWeaver's Lame Duck Challenge, and I gotta say, it's pretty easy to use (if I needed a LOT of Windows apps on Linux, I'd buy it over it's free cousin). However, there's one thing holding me back from a total Linux switchover...

I have never been able to get Autodesk Inventor to work with either CrossOver or WINE. I use Inventor as I am the head of the mechanical subteam of my school's robotics club. Has anyone ever gotten it to work with either WINE or CrossOver?

    I'll check it out, thanks.

It'd be really nice if I could get the actual Autodesk version working though, because I need to teach other people how to use it. Consistency really.

If absolutely necessary you could always just have a virtual machine or dual boot. But you could always try to move them from Autodesk to free software.
