ok so i have a Samsung NC-10, a decent little netbook, specs are intel atom 1.6Ghz, 1gb Ram, 160 HDD, basic standard everything else. i don't use any windows only software on it so i decided to use Ubuntu on it and try to get a little more bat on it.
my problem is that when every i install it i get an error saying that there is a problem with the coping of the files, saying the source is not good enough or the hdd is not work properly. the usb drive is brand new and i was just using the hdd with windows a few minutes before. I have tried a USB DVD drive as well but i get the same error. the error code just says 5 and i have googled it with no help.
i know the DVD drive and the USB drive are good enough as the live cd works (using it to write this).
also one other thing what would be a good partition layout. plus when i go in to advance partition mode i dont see any option for SWAP so im kinda confused on that.
thanks

Does no one really have no idea why it is doing this? I'm not new to linux but no where near fluent. I have re-downloaded it and it still does not work, i have looked in to the bios and change the Large disk from DOS to Other and still has not worked. im running out of ideas here.
thanks -
well i feel like an idiot now. i always forget to do the checksum and it turns out i have been getting bad downloads of the iso so now it seems to be working got past the coping now on to the updating.
sorry for griping at you before
