I got an dell inspiron 9400 laptop w/ the dell wireless N card (broadcom I think). I tried Ubuntu Beta (Feisty) and and it didn't detect my wireless card.

After, I tried using ndiswrapper and that didn't work. Told me it couldn't copy to folder or something.

Did anyone else got ubuntu (or any other flavor of linux) working w/ this card?

If so, please let me know how to do it. Thanks.

you were probably trying to copy to a folder requiring root permissions...

hit Alt+F2, type "gksu nautilus" (minus the quotes,) it'll ask for your password, then a nautilus window will pop open with root privileges so that you can copy files to system folders.
