Notebook_ftw, want to install it on the M90 and let me know how it goes ? :D :D :D

BTW, are debian packages compatible with Ubuntu 7.04 ? I want to know which one has the most number of packages.

Yes, indeed many Debian packages have been ported to Ubuntu. Many (if not all?) .deb packages can install safely in Ubuntu. Ubuntu is anyway based off of Debian, so there is no reason to think otherwise.

I've actually been considering installing it from the ground up on the old M90. I'd like a nice KDE distro, but have become really comfortable with apt-get and aptitude. My experiences were not so great with PCLOS.

Debian packages are compatible with Ubuntu 7.04, as Ubuntu is based on Debian. Nearly all (if not all) Debian packages will be available via Synaptic for Ubuntu as I believe it hs the Debian servers added as repositories. But on top of that, there are a lot of Ubuntu-specific packages that can be had as well. I'd say Ubuntu has more packages.
