    Hi,

I'm considering dual booting ubuntu with vista 64bit and I have a couple of questions.

    1) Is there any support for office 2007 yet?
    2) I have all my music on my C drive, in which I usually use Itunes to play it. Is there a way for me to play my music files in ubuntu without having to copy all of the music files from my vista partition to my ubuntu partition?
    3) Is there a way to copy all of my firefox settings, plugins, passwords, etc to the firefox that is running on ubuntu?

Thanks for your time and help.

Dual Booting Vista and Ubuntu is easier using Wubi installer , which comes with Ubuntu CD/DVDs ... Just install Unbuntu in Windows as you would do any app .. Yet you have full standalone Ubuntu alongside Vista ... No Need to Format and stuff like that :D

Yes , OpenOffice 3 supports MS Office 2007 formats

    Download Link for OpenOffice 3 : http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OpenOffice.org&os=linuxinteldeb&lang=fr&version=3.0.0

No Need to copy / move anything mate :D Ubuntu will auto-mount all drives it find , so you just need point your music player to that mount point :p

hmm try FEBE or any other Firfox Profile Backup tools

    1. Doesn't Ibex come with OO3? If not, you can always go into apt and get it that way (smaller DL).
    2. Yep, you can mount your Windows partition inside Ubuntu (remember to shutdown Windows or Ubuntu will complain and not allow you to mount it since it's still technically in use).
    3. Not sure, there is an option in the installer to copy all your settings, didn't work for me though, if it doesn't for you, try the above mentioned programs.
