This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Booting DSL on an older laptop

    Hello

    The problem is that this laptop has only a floppy reader.. But I`m able to remove the hard-drive and use some cables to connect it with another computer via USB.
    It works like an external hard-drive.
    The hard-drive of that PC is totally empty, I`ve copied DSL to that hard-drive.. But how do I make it bootable?
