I just upgraded by hard disk, and I have a 40GB, 4200RPM Western Digital just lying around with XP and all my stuff on it. I'm going to put it into a USB 2.0 enclosure and use it for Linux, specifically future releases of Kubuntu; is this possible?

Google is your friend.
Just make sure that your computer supports the option to boot from a USB drive. -
Awesome; more dabbling with Linux!
PS; will it work on an enclosed hard disk rather than a flash drive? -
