    Boot Kubuntu from external HDD?

    I just upgraded by hard disk, and I have a 40GB, 4200RPM Western Digital just lying around with XP and all my stuff on it. I'm going to put it into a USB 2.0 enclosure and use it for Linux, specifically future releases of Kubuntu; is this possible?

    PS; will it work on an enclosed hard disk rather than a flash drive?

    I don't know about Kubuntu but I have booted other Linux type things off EXT HDD. Do PM me if you think I can help.
