I'm not a linux noobie, I've once set up Gentoo ;), but with my W3J i currently I game a lot and I don't really feel like paying for cedega. So rather than dual-boot I'm looking at visualization software. I know parallels makes a good setup, and there are a couple other options out there. What would you guys suggest? I'd like to see what advances linux has made lately.

You mean virtualization, right? VMWare is an option.

I think that VmWare offers a decent virtualization software. As you have probably figured out by now just play with it and see how it goes.

Download VMWare Server. It's completely free, but allows you to create and modify VMs just as VM Workstation does. All you have to do is enter some information and they'll give you a serial key.
