    Hi all,

My hdd is 250BG, I had 100GB for XP 32 bit and now I install Ubuntu 9.04 64bit on the rest of hdd. I restart my laptop and boot from CD. Usually It asks me to "press any key to boot from CD", in this case it doent say anything, and boot directly from CD. Then I have 5 options:

    1. Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer
    2. Install Ubuntu
    3. Check disc for defects
    4. Test memory
    5. Boot from first hard disk

I select option 2, but It take me to the "Live Session"
How do I avoid this live session and able to install Ubuntu. I burn iso image from

    http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

    Thank you
    rickuj

I would install it from the live session after getting online....any problems with getting online from the live session? that way it can pull down any updates and will save your network settings for the hd install.

Odd, when I choose the Install Ubuntu menu item on 9.04 32-bit disc it goes straight to the installer. How are you selecting the second menu item? I use the cursor keys and then <Enter>.
