I am looking for a nice LG laptop because I have heard a lot of good things about LG compared with other brand.

I am currently looking at the LW60 series (LW60-QCMA) because I like the wide screen feature and the 80Gb drive! This will be my first laptop to replace my aging Dell desktop, and I will be using the laptop mostly for programming (compiling Java), lots of photoshop editing (therefore I need good graphics) and playing my MP3 files!

I am not in the rush of buying a laptop, but I have been looking for one for too long now =(

Could any of you guys please give me some suggestions, are there any new series that are better than the LW60-QCMA? My budget is around AUS$2000-2500, 15.4'' screen is preferable, 512Mb RAM is a must!

    Please help =)

    Hi Kirs,

Well you've come to the right place. Ok looking at what you say ur budget is, i'm not sure if u can get a decent LG for that price.... However, there are some models such as the LW60 as you said. If i were you i would get somthing on the newer lines of LW70. Since you're going to use programs such as photo shop i'd say a minium of 1Gb Ram. but that can be user upgradeable. Graphics either the X600 or even the X300 should be enough. I'm Currently Selling my LS50 - 8 I'm asking $3K AUD for it and specs are below. I've only had it for 4 months and In top condition. So if your intrested Give me a buzz. I'm Located in Melbourne.

Sorry.... this here is my review of my notbook with pictures as well.
