LG never failed on build quality before. Besides, Korean and Japanese government forbids their companies to sell low quality product to other countries because it ruins their country's reputation. =P (Just for the side note)

    Dreamz,

Everything is good in that laptop.
T 5450 intel is a very good processor for any use...It is certainly to powerful for business usage!!! In fact you could even go to a lower powered processor like the T 2000 serie and it would still "sport" any business applications.

As for the RS600me chipset...well its very good and one of the main advantage of it is that you get a HDMI out so you can plug it to a HD LCD or Plasma TV...not that much use for business except if you make some kind of presentation on a HD TV...

Lg product are very good indeed, I use an 4 year old LG Ls50 centrino and everything is working perfect. Most impressive is the battery that still last 3 hours...Well I guess it because its a LG-IBM battery...LG use to make IBM laptop before and you can bet they have learn (copy) a thing or two.

if you can follow the link, and browse inside the site you will find very interesting pictures of inside the computer...it's well built.

The model is a R500 which is a bigger top line version of the E300

FWIW... I just received the E300... after spending a couple hours with it, I like it...
the biggest thing to get used to is the keyboard... it's designed for engligh & french useage, and is slighthly different than what I am used to
other than that, it's pretty much everything I excepted a 13" laptop to be

Hi, i'm interested on buying a 13.3'' notebook and this looks like a good bet. However i would like to know if it is a quiet or noisy notebook. Also, does anyone know if it supports turbo memory.

    Tks in advance ppl.

Just got my e300. Everything looks great, but i'm not sure about the hardrive.
It idles around 50ºC. For now it isn't a problem (about 25ºC ambient temperature) but in the summer temperature rises up to 40ºC.

Can this be a problem with the hardrive or is it normal with this model?

ps: mine has a FUJITSU MHY2160BH and i used everest to read the temperature
