so i bought an lg s1 for college and now (a year and a half later) the lcd screen went out. i am pretty sure that it's out of warranty, and i have already called to ask about getting it repaired. the person i talked to said it could be done and transferred me to some ladies voicemail. but that was like 3 weeks ago and still never heard back from her. so i looked on ebay for a replacement screen and there are a couple but i am not too sure about the quality of those generic screens, and i am pretty sure i could replace the screen myself...

    any suggestions???
oh and i am in the US and bought it online from canada.

    thanks

The LG S1Pro Duial had 3 years of warranty, better check again.

Are you sure it's the LCD and not the backlight inverter board? If the screen is blak but you can fiantly see some graphics with the notebook powered ON, it's the backlight inverter board and this is a very common problem with notebook computer.
