I need to disassemble my LW60 so I can resolder the AC plug. I have removed all the case screws, but I must be missing a step or two???

Still need help on this one. keyboard is out and all the case screws etc are out. The top cover appears to be attached somehow near the hinges.. If the hinge covers are meant to come off does anyone know how?

    thanks

how did you get on vkkilkenny?

My lw60 appears yo be dead, no power,
I suspect I have damaged the ac socket and need to get to it somehow.
I have searched high and low but can't find a manual on how to dismantle the laptop

Did you guys find out how to disassemble or at least fix the AC plug pin?

I'm having problems with the AC power plug being loose. I can barely turn on the notebook or charge the battery.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with a LS50a, I bought a new connector but can't get the laptop apart to put it in and have not found a service manual to tell me how. If you find out please let me know.
    Thanks

I have the same problem with my LW65. I need to solder the AC socket.
I am having problems taking the laptop apart, in particular the screen.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
