the HD on my LW40 runs at 45C, during idle state. i don't remember it getting this hot.

is there any way to lower the heat produced? i'm using NHC, btw.

Upgrade to 2GB RAM and turn off virtual memory. Windows won't have to access the HD as much and that makes a noticible difference.

i have 1.5GB ram, and windows rarely accesses the HD.

(like i said, "idle" before, as in watching TV and leaving the laptop on.)
