Notebook Hardware Control will tell you the wear level on your battery. If your notebook is more than a year old, it is not unusual for the battery to fail.

    Hi,

its true your battery does run down when it is switched off... this is because the battery uses the stored charge to keep the internal circuitry operational...

for more info, u can read this post...
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=38212

put i am not sure,y your (LW60) and the LM50 battery usage is so different.

i have left (by accident) my battery in my LW70 for about 1 month(when i went overseas and i left my laptop at home) and the battery only went down by 85% when i switched it on again.

look after ur battery... its also an investment! and try not to keep ur battery in ur laptop when the laptop is switched off for a long time.

    hope this helps
    cheers
