Hi, battery miser is a useful program and I have the 3.16 version. my problem is when I left click tray icon a menu appears but "Enable Sound PM (Fn+F8)" is disabled. Is something wrong? Thanks in advance.

I have version 3.17 of Battery miser, but assuming they are pretty much similar, I would like you to open the program, and expand the Power Scheme.

Fourth on the list is Sound Device.

On my notebook, it says This device does not support power management of Sound Devices. That is the reason you see a grayed out Enable Sound PM. Nothing major I presume.

LP60 has the Conexant Ac Audio Link Soundcard.
So it can either be the Soundcard which is not supporting it, or is it the new version 3.19
Anyway that I can try the 3.19 ?
    Thanks

hi, thanks for replies. I found that this option is only available only if AC power cord is unpluged i.e. when working with batteries.

Hello people! I have got the new BatteryMiser 2005! I have sent a mail to LG Service with my problem after update with the new BIOS (the BatteryMiser driver couldn't be loaded) and they send me the last version of this.

This version include new features like sensor temps, power scheme by application, etc.

I think that if we send them mails with our complaints, they will improve the download area.

    See you!

be careful with this - i found an 'update' for battery miser somewhere - downloaded and installed it and got a message along the lines of 'this computer does not support these functions'.
I uninstalled it and installed the battery miser from the CD that came with the LW70 and now my lappie won't boot up correctly - i keep getting the blue STOP screen as it loads the drivers and the message 'lgsnd_filter.sys did not terminate correctly' or similar, then I have to restart Windows in the 'last known good working version'....
So far I haven't been able to fix it [ :(]

    Hi,
I've heard one of the most important recommendations for longer battery life, is to keep the battery fully charged and use the AC power whenever possible. This prevents battery from being recharged too many times.
I own a new LG LM70-PKMU1 with the 6-Cell original battery.
I tried using this method but I miss two important things:
First, even after fully charging the battery and always using AC power, battery does not hold on 100% and goes down to 94%.
Second, battery miser 2005 (3.24.7) does not have the feature to start charging only when battery falls below a specific percentage.
This causes battery to be charged (from 94% to full) each time I use the notebook.
Hope to hear other experiences with same or other LG notebook models.

    Thanks

"Second, battery miser 2005 (3.24.7) does not have the feature to start charging only when battery falls below a specific percentage."

Is it true for Battery Miser 4.0 as well?! That we can't set the laptop to charge at a certain %? :(

    :::

I don't think LG Miser system can allow you to change the
% of start charging. Only New IBM ThinkPad can Do.

But I do have the New Version of B.Miser v4.0106.0210
    for your T1, Download here:

    Enjoy.....!

Sorry I can't help you, but I have a question: does Battery Miser really makes a difference on your battery lifetime?

LG intelligent update has the Battery miser version 5.0007.0111 in the manual installation section, but I can't download it!! It says that it is not installed, when I click on it a windows appears saying: Insert LG intelligent update CD or repeat installation procedure. What can I do?

I've got the same problem with my (German) M1-5DGEG laptop. I don't believe the computer is available in North America but it does run the English language (probably US) version of Battery Miser (version 4.0106.0929)

I tried the "LG Intelligent Update" but experienced the same error. From what I could gather the 5.xxxxx.xxxx version of Battery Miser is for Vista only. I downloaded it off the LG website to check it out and it specifically said "Vista". Therefore the software didn't install.

    I hope this helps
