I noticed the GPU-Z ASIC Test thread today and did the test. My 555M chip managed to get 97.4% (lucky!). It would be interesting to see how well the rest of the P330 owners score. ;)

No problem. I wanted it myself anyway, and it didn't take much time to create. It seems like the P330 has been blessed with some pretty high quality silicone. That'll come in handy when overclocking is needed. ;)

95,7 Percent.. Well, I guess everything over 90 is great huh?

Thank you, I cant give any info about that yet.. just did the backup.. I will write some more about the lg p330 in this thread once Ive got the time to test it a little :)

But for the first impression.. Great! Its much smaller then I thought it would be, could it be that its more of a 12,5 inch formfactor? I absolutely love the size and also the build quality, very nice that most of it is aluminum

One question I have though, is it possible to turn of turbo boost in bios? In the m14x there was an option.. I heard though that one can limit the powerplan of the cpu via windows powermanagement to processor maximum state of 99 percent and then turbo boost doesnt go on.. Is that right?

BTW: Can someone recommend a good back or neoprene sleeve that fits the p330 perfectly? Or just say which one you use

The bezel is certainly thin, so it should be a bit smaller than most 13 inch laptops. And yes, the finish and sturdiness is great. ;)
I use the Vyper XS3 which seems to offer pretty good protection. The only thing that keeps it from being a perfect fit is the rear of the P330 (the battery makes it slightly too thick). When I need to carry it around I put the Vyper inside an EPIC laptop series bag for 13 inch laptops.
MSi's Afterburner should do the trick. Haven't tried it yet myself.

BTW THanks for everything guys, im still deciding on the bag though, the neoprene macbook one from incase seems very good, but I want one that fits perfectly

I hope I didn't scare you off with the battery thickness part of the Vyper XS3. The problem I mentioned is virtually nonexistent. It is a really good fit and has foam inside. The foam will adapt so that the case becomes completely flush on the outside. The exterior is also very rugged, more so than any other hard case I've seen. I remember seeing some guy here on NBR standing on his with the laptop inside and the laptop took no damage from it whatsoever.

Ill check if I can get yours in Germany too, for now I have a bag :)

BTW One big question!! The power input seems kind of wobbly when its inserted, is that normal or is mine somehow broken? I mean its not totally wobbly but you dont need to apply alot of force when the AC Cable is inserted in the notebook to wobble it around? My previous notebook, the m14x, had a rock solid power input, I couldnt move the end of the power cable at all once it was inserted

Thank you so much for trying! I was really concerned that mine was somehow broken, but as I said its nothing too extreme, its just a little bit wobbly

About the network card, I havent really been able to test it yet, I live with my parents and we got a MAC ID safe network, so my dad needs to unlock my MAC ID before I can test it out, but I will be sure to test it enough during gaming sessions..

Sorry for not writing a review yet, Im currently finishing school (only a few weeks left) and very busy

But thank you very much for this thread, people like you are the reason why I even bought this notebook and why I had no trouble installing .inf modified drivers.. Thank you for taking your time to inform and share

And I absolutely love the p330, its the perfect size and quality :) Even if there will be alot of 640m and 650m notebooks with ivy bridge and kepler which outperform the p330, I wouldnt trade the p330 for them, except if its the p350 xD

No problem. This community is all about sharing, and as a result I'm far from being the largest and only contributor. I have my fair share of things to be grateful for. About that review of yours: there's no need to stress it. It's not like it's mandatory or anything. If you feel like doing it then that's great, but again, no need to stress it. ;)
The reason I'm asking is because I'm planning to write a short tutorial on how to replace the network card in the P330. As far as I know me and robohgedhang were the only ones that had serious problems with ours, so if you don't experience any problems I can allow myself to postpone it a bit.
Yeah, It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I really hope they don't discontinue the current series though as the form factor of the P330/P310 makes room for a beefier GPU.

No, I got the standard p330 ue40k without any upgrades whatsoever, so its got the normal wifi!!

And it works flawlessly, Ive had some time to test it now, and I could play online without any lags or anything and surfing is also flawless..

As a matter of fact, I havent had any better wifi than with this notebook, I got the full 5 Bars, even though with my desktop I only get maximum 3.. weird xD

I havent tested it yet, but I will as soon as Im home again :) But I think its very good..

Its actually surprising, the m14x with the intel 6250 wlan module had a much worse connection.. and my linksys desktop card actually had such a bad connection, that I decided to use dLan (lan over electricity)

    One question to you guys!

How can I install the newest 296 nvidia driver!

Head over to Nvidia to download the latest driver. Let the setup extract the required files and close it. Open the newly extracted Display.Driver folder and replace the nvwi.inf file with the one you'll find here. After that you can run the setup file that you'll find inside the root of the extracted folder and proceed to install as you normally would.

Note: To make sure you don't run into any problems I would recommend uninstalling the current driver before installing the new one and tick the clean install checkbox.
I don't think anyone has tried 8GB modules yet.

Usually it doesnt fall under warranty if you exchange the HDD and/or RAM!

But if its the source of the problem you should maybe provide the original parts, I think it would be a good thing to build in the original parts, just in case!

You should contact the finnish LG if you have the possibility to somehow! I contacted the german LG through the german official LG forum, but if you dont have such a forum, just look on the finnish LG homepage for a customer service number..

You should be ready to provide your personal information such as name and etc. and the two serial numbers under the battery!

BTW Guys I have found an ebay seller that sells the LG p220 IPS display..

Do you think its possible to build this into the p330 chassis, since it even has the same resolution? Its just a little bit smaller (12,5 inches vs 13,3 inches of the p330)

Replacing memory or hard drive doesn't usually affect warranty, if the parts are meant to be user replaceable in the first place. Of course breaking the computer while replacing something is not covered by warranty anyways.

    LG: olemme täällä auttaaksemme.
    Takuuvaatimuksen jättäminen LG:lle
    Muut LG:n korjausvaihtoehdot

Difficulty in this is that legally LG Finland isn't required to provide service for this model since it isn't sold here.

Techical side of the problem might be that maybe the service points cannot order spare parts for models not sold in Finland. I know I have this problem with some other brands I might be certified to repair :)

InfoCare is the service partner, their website has also some information.

Lg Germany says the warranty is international!!

Im already registered for a 24 hour pickup service..

Also they say, if parts are missing, they will be requested from s.korea, hence the repairs may take longer

I am sure you also get warranty in finland!

If it's international warranty, then contacting LG with those previous links should be enough to have it repaired :)
