Futureshop is the only retailer allowed to sell that series of LG notebooks in Canada.

For some reason, the P310 went on clearance a while back.

I have inquired with LG as to when I can expect to purchase a P series notebook, but to no avail. They don't know/won't say anything.

I have also inquired with Futureshop who said they're waiting on their buyers and LG to come up with some sort of deal.

Apparently they won't be getting the P300 or P310 ever again. They expect to be getting a new model, but they have no idea what it is, or when they will get it.

My best guess/hope is that it will be the P510, but who knows.

Your best bet is a used one from eBay or Kijiji.

I believe http://www.notebook.de sells it, but you would receive a huge stab in the wallet considering shipping, exchange rate, duties, etc.

    Kind of off topic:

Would $1049.99 (CAD) approx $900 (USD) be a good deal for a P300 factory refurb or are they selling for less these days?

I just decided to get an asus n81vp. its bigger but its got the power for rendering.

I was at one time looking for an lg x100 but hey lets not sell them in north america. a 10 inch notebook that performs near a dell m1330? yeah people would never want that.

the futureshop near me that didnt have them anymore said their last sale price was 1299. does it still have a warranty? because thats a pretty good deal imo.

I don't think there is a manufacturer's warranty but the store offers 1 year limited. So... good deal?

you could always fine a laptop thats bigger but costs the same with more performance. But then whats the point where you stop? you got to have a balance. I think its a good deal as I would jump on it.
