    Hi,

Can anyone recommend where (ideally in Europe) one could get a replacement US keyboard please ?

As LG don't sell laptops in the UK I am trying to source one from Europe. I have tried:

www.ipc-computer.eu (but they haven't replied to me despite contacting them twice!) and
http://www.skr-services.de (link from LG DE site, but they can't offer me the requested part and to told me tocontact my notebook dealer but as far as I can see www.notebook.de (where I got the laptop from) don't do spare parts. So I am a little stumped.

Anyone got any recommendations as to where else I could try ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Sneakers.

Information: Both www.notebook.de and www.ipc-computer.eu said they could sell a UK/US keyboard for the P310 and deliver to the UK. I suspect both countries will deliver to most of europe and possibly further afield. Hope this helps someone else locate these keyboards in future. Though Notebook.de have stated they can get only a UK keyboard and not a US one, however when I got my laptop from them, it came with a US keyboard, just be prepared for some confusion and be clear about what you need. I'll be happy with a US or UK keyboard.

    Regards,

    Sneakers.

Hi, did you just buy the keyboard separately? or did you request them to put on a US keyboard for you when they ship your laptop?

I would like to purchase a US keyboard for my P300 as well, not liking the weird shape enter key and the short shift key.

    Thanks !

    Hi ah hin,

When I ordered the laptop from Notebook.de I just ordered one with the US keyboard (they happened to stock, at the time, US keyboard with certain P310 laptops, not sure they do that now). However I am looking for a spare keyboard for my P310 and needed to order this separately.

Notebook.de sell laptops as well as repair them. My understanding is that ipc-computer.eu simply repair laptops and stock parts (though check if this is important to you).

Notebook.de said they only stocked the UK keyboard. If you look at the P310 thread, there is a discussion about the confusion of different types of keyboards. But mine came with a US keyboard. I am happy with this as I have used both UK and US keyboards before.

ipc-computer.eu sell according to their email reply a US keyboard, though this would have to be ordered and could take between 4-6 weeks (again check before ordering to make sure it meets your requirements).

However I would I have thought you should be ble to pick up a US keyboard from LG America or Canada, and they would probably stock it by defualt, and it would save shipping cost and any import duty as well. Just a thought. : )

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards,

    Sneakers.
