    Anybody?

It can't be that just the color (black) influences $350 price difference?

Agreed. I had my lappy for 2 days then i noticed MAJOR scratches on the lid, even though i been taking pretty good care of it... Just one trip from work to home and it was messed up badly. Keeping my lid open mostly so i don't have to see it.. :p

Anyways.. I'm seriously thinking about putting some custom made artwork on the lid and put some protective coating of some sort on top of that... the lid is very fragile... fingerprints stick very easaly too .. can hardly touch it. Ceep your polishing rug far away or you'll be looking at those ugly fingerprints and scratches and rubbing all day to get it off.....

Trust me, my co-workers though i was crazy rubbing the lid every 10 min the first days. LOL ... A liddle more rubbing and my S1 would have had an orgasm :p
