    Hi There

I bought a 2GB usb2 pen drive. It is 10x slower on my T1 than on my desktop. I have intelligent update installed and have run it so am guessing that I have the latest drivers. Any ideas anyone?

    Many thanks!

when you plug in the device, chec its properties under Device manager and make sure the policy is set for performance mode

    Hi There

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I will try that as soon as I get home. A guy in my IT dept suggested trying it with the laptop running on mains power in case it is related to a power saving mode or something.

    Many thanks

    HI

Under device manager I cannot find this setting. Can you explain where it is exactly? I can see that the current power state is D0 which seems correct. It is possible that the computer is not recognising it as a USB2 device, but the other XP machines in the house do.

    Many thanks again
