I just received the T1 from Titan-networks.ca (Great customer service!)

However, I'm a bit disappointed because the unit i received has a native resolution of 1280x800, not 1440 x 900 like their site advertises. I know all of you with the T2300(1.63 core duo) units have 1440x900 native resolution even though LG site specs say that the unit has a 1280x800 screen. I dont see why they made the 1.63ghz machine with a WXGA+ 1440x900 screen and gave the 1.83 ghz a WXGA 1280x800 screen. Other than that, I'm impressed with the build quality. its pretty much everything I expected from reading all the reviews and posts on this forum. Now if i could just get the faster processsor model with a 1440x900 screen, i'll be very happy. Titan-networks is in the process of tracking down a 1.63ghz T1. I'll send this unit back and sacrifice the processing power for a much better screen.

Is it true that the T2300 model (The T1-5316A9) has the WXGA+1440x900 screen? LG's site lists it as WXGA 1280x800.

It's all a bit confusing, as the review for the T1 on this site is the T1-5316A9 and is an L2400 and WXGA+. I agree that the screen real estate is worth the sacrifice in processor speed, if indeed it is possible to get in Canada. The dealers I have spoken to so far don't seem to think that the WXGA+ exists in Canada, though people on these forums have evidence to the contrary!

    Jeff,

I 've been playing with my T1-7001A9 for the past 4-5 days and I must say I love this laptop. Build quality is excellent. and i might be getting used to this 1280x800 screen. Well, not quite. My T1-5316 comes in from Canada tommorow. Titan-networks started it up and confirmed the 1440x900 screen before shipping it out. My colleague is also receiving his S1 tommorow. I'm curious to see what that one is like.
