    I have some general questions about LGs since I havent been able to find a lot of reviews of them (only 3 or 4)...

    1) I've seen reports of overall battery life, but how is the battery life while while watching a DVD?

    2) Build quality compared to IBM and Asus?

    ASUS uses Carbon Fibre/Brushed Aluminum, ThinkPads are Magnesium Alloy, though LG seems to only use plastic, but still built well.

    Battery life, I can't really comment, depends on what model.

    right now, i'm looking at the LS50, LM50, LW40, and LW60... coriolis, i noticed that last yr you were posting in this forum about getting an LG... did this go through, and if so, how did you like it?

    Nope, never went for it, the LW60 went from a x600 to a GMA900(Intergrated), so I ditched that. Also the LW60 had less ram, a slower processor, a slower HD, and a weaker GPU then what I bought then(The ASUS Z70va)

    well how does LG compare to other brands .. ie the more common dell/hp and more boutique brands like sager in terms of quality?
