I was checking out the stats on the R500, and then went to see if there was any word on a S500 model yet, and came across this S900 19" model!

Not for me (not looking for a DRM) but very interesting looking nonetheless

YEP, its the newest, currently its competiting hard with Samsung G25 (this is also 19inch)

    I have LG s900 and I also have Sony TZ(11inch :D)
I have to say that S900 is very very nice. Note that it uses 3.5inch SATA2

Have a look at the picture

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=162348 , s900 photo should be somewhere about page 2 or 3.

Wow, I think its ugly, and for the size the graphic card could be better.

It probably also compete against the HP HDX and Dell's XPS M2010 thing. Its quite suprising, as the companys were right thinking there are markets for such large notebooks.

Im suprized by 'ugly' This is my 5th laptop, and I must say some laptops are just 'beautiful' (like my Sony 11inch TZ), but normally, you get used to the designed, etc. FYI, s900 is nothing wrong with. Its a big tank, does perform awesome, uses a real LCD-monitor screen, and its bright as hell. Graphic card is nVidia 8600M GT, CPU is 7300 (2Ghz).
So its nothing wrong with it. As far as performance goes, I think it's near-top as compared to all laptop models out there.

Maybe, they shoud create a deskbook using.. ehhemm... desktop parts, like stuffing a desktop 8800GTX card in (Yes i know, they ll have to come up with ridiculous cooling).. i dun mind tat it is a 22 or 24incher as long as it beats those clevos even in SLI 8700M GTs :D and, who needs battery on this type of notebooks.

Hi Lunateck, yes you are right. I was actually a bit disappointed with s900 because I was thinking they'd use all Desktop-components. But, I guess they oly used 3.5inch sata2 and factory default oc-ed graphic cores, etc. (so the performance is definitely ok, as I compared with my desktop E6600)

Also, s900 do NOT come with Battery, it has a tiny battery holder where you can purchase one and insert into, but but it acts as UPS !!!, it lasts 20min at MAX !!. :D
