    Hi there

    I got myself a philips shb9000
But somehow many manufacturers of bluetooth hardware seem to have forgotten that people might not only want to use their products with stupid cell phones, bluetooth enabled mp3 players or other gadgets, but ordinary computers. So i couldnt find any support from philips.

Ahw before i forget my actual problem: the headset is not cooperating with my lgs510 properly of course.
when i switch to pairing-mode, vista recognizes the headphones as bluetooth device, asks me for a key given in the manual (which exckusiveky talks abiut cell phones of course), and then installs some driver.
properties of the device shows me a list of sometimes 3, sometimes 4 services like remotecontrol, headphones, and anotherone that dissappeared at a point, whereas i cant translate the last one,"audiosenke" because i have no idea what that should be.

it adds the following 2 playing devices:

    Bluetooth Hands-free Audio
    3-Philips SHB9000 (Mono Audio)

    Bluetooth-Audio-Renderer
    Philips SHB9000 (Stereo Audio)

    and 1 record device:

    Bluetooth Audio Input Device
    3-Philips SHB9000 (Mono Audio)

would make sence ... the mic for the input, the first output for voip and the second for musik (with all that stuff the audio chip of the headset can do)

I got the stereo output device to work exactly once, and not again since then - just by installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling and so on. of course i tried to play with all settings that seem to beavailable to me, but i never got the microphone to work ...

Also i googled till my fingers off but couldnt find help.

Is that a driver issue (what else o0)

a also couldn find out what bluetooth chip the notebook is using in order to get a better driver than obviousely crappy microsofts..

    can someone help me?

thanks and happy new year and stuff though im a lil late :p

    IARI

Did you manage to connect any bluetooth headset?
I can pair (both windows and linux) but then no audio is streamed. It's really annoying.

try a different bluetooth stack, often times its not the hardware its just the software/drivers.

Bluesoleil is a great 3rd party app with high compatability, try the trial and see if it works.

Also possible your current setup works just needs a special method to connect to the device in the desired mode.

I installed the new bluesoleil in trial. Exactly same thing (the driver was updated from a 2007 one to a 2009 one). And you were forgetting that I tried linux with the same result, meaning.. Pairs, channel opens but no audio streams.
It doesn't really make sense to buy another stack if the laptop "should" support full bluetooth 2.0+edr.

Also few things, dont be playing your source before you pair (or even have the program open) and you may need to select bluetooth as your output device in your windows audio control panel.

Of course. In linux is not a problem to do that though.

    I know ty.
I just give it to the side. to take down chances quicker.
Anyways I sent an e-mail to LG. Maybe they can help :S.
Ah other thing. In the connection status(in windows) when I try to pass a test sound in the headset, there is no change in received/sent (packages), however if I press any of the headset's buttons info(package exchange) passes.
What annoys me more is that "mute on" and "mute off" work. I mean, when it's muted I have no sound at all in the headset, and when mute off is chosen I have that little background sound of opened channel.
    :S
