    Hi everyone..
I have S1_PRIMT. This is my first laptop I love everything about it.
It has 1 gb ram and I want to upgrade it to 2 gb.

I'm so noob when it comes to laptops.
The user manual says max ram could be 2 GB and every slot supports 128mb to 1024mb ram modules.

The problem is I see only 1 slot and a ram module in it and some wifi card near it. Where is the second slot? How will I upgrade it?

    Thanks

There is a second slot located in the chassis itself, under the keyboard. You have to disassemble the laptop a bit to get at it but it isn't very difficult. Hopefully someone who has done this before will be able to walk you through the process.

Hi Polat. I'm exactly in the same situation here with my LG S1. Like you said, we already have one 1 GB chip and we want to add a second one. There is absolutly no need to reach the second chip. The free slot is easily reachable and that's all we need to know.

You need to do two things now: be sure of what you currently have in your notebook. In mine, the RAM is a 1 GB chip at 667 MHz, 200 pins (number of metal pins on the chip). If you have the same I have, you could buy one of those two (I bought from Tigerdirect this afternoon):

I hope this will help you and be free to ask any question you may still have.

    Thanks Saorex.

Suckers here in my country sell it with 2 oem 512mb rams.
So to upgrade it to 2gb means buying 2 expensive rams  and ending up with 2 oem s**t

    I'm from istanbul / Turkey.

    I've ordered 2x KINGSTON 1GB 667MHZ DDR2 NOTEBOOK MEMORY RAMs.
    2x (132,00 USD + 18% VAT) =

Hopefully when it arrives I can put a little "how to" here about the installation.

We'll see how easy/hard it is to get under that keyboard

    edit----------------------------

I did it. Put 2 yummy kingstons in my S1

Here are some pics if you wanna see what's under the keyboard
