    S1-P3B3A support Merom?

    does anyone know if LG will support merom for the S1-P3B3A?

    ok this question has 2 answers for now.

    a) Yes it will support it, meaning you can drop-in the Merom CPU and get a BIOS upgrade and your good to go.

    b) After you do the above thing, provided LG gives out the BIOS upgrade, which it is entitled NOT TO DO, then how much of the Merom CPU do you get?
    Meaning we know the Merom should boost performance and batterylife and give 64bit. But if put into the Napa Platform do you get all of this? We do not know yet, all we do know Merom is pin compatable.

    c) The worst thing that can happen is that a new chipset would be created like Napa2 in which, no you cannot upgrade Yonah to MErom. But i doubt this will happen.

    You gotta wait till more info is released on this issue for us to give you real info.
