I am trying to decide among Thinkpad T60, HP nc8430, and LG S1. Battery life is kind of important to me. Please share with me your typical battery life and the seeting+work load you use to get the battery as well as the size of your battery.

Where can I get a 9-cell battery in Canada anyway? LG is almost non-exsistent in North America. I checked milestone pc, they don;t seem to have it either.

    Thanks in advance.

May I suggest that you give LGE Canada a call and ask them

    toll-free; 1-888-LG-Canada

This will give you the opportunity to check the service before committing hard earned cash.

You should try calling LG Canada and enquire about the 9-cell battery availablility.

From your choices listed above, you will probably find the S1 lacking in the battery aspect. I get ~2 hours with light usage (wifi on, 7/8 brightness, browsing the web). Other notebooks usually score a little higher here..up to 3 hours.
Adding the 9 cell will probably push up the battery life of the S1 to ~3.5 hours

Same here, around 2 hours w/ normal applications, wifi on and brightness at max.

Phone my store and ask for Matt tell him you talked to Jeff on notebookreview and you wanted to know about the 9 Cell battery and how long he is getting. He has the S1 with the 9 cell battery and can tell you how long you should get and he can get them. 905-734-1090
