In the pics you took with your phone, those are from the GITEX LG catalogue eh? I got that thing as well and I found the W1 was cheaper than the S1 but came with the same specs and bigger display but not the piano black cover. However notice also that the W1 comes with X1600 with 128M dedicated only while the S1 comes with 256M. I personally am quite disappointed that LG chose to provide a lesser spec gfx card with the bigger laptop  I was ready to buy the W1 but with this realisation i doubt ill buy either one.

btw let me know if LG still offer the free stuff as that may sweeten the less than ideal laptop specs

I was searching for a laptop for the past 5 months or so, and I was almost ready to choose between Acer or Dell until I saw LG S1 (Piano Black), and fell in love with it...

I read the review about it in this website and I decided to go and buy it from GITEX even though it was waaay over my budget but the bundle that came with made it easy for me to decide (3 year warranty + LG color mobile + 5.1 sound system + web came + carrying bag + 6.0 M pixel Nikon digital camera (I won this from a swap) + free window Vista + mouse) all for the price of ~ $1770

Although this is my first laptop, I can't be more happier with this Purchas. I was amazed how powerful this laptop is. Everybody who saw this laptop agreed that it is the sexiest lap they ever see. I hope this laptop will last many years to come without any problemsÂ…

SideSwipe you said you will not buy either one ??
you mean not S1 eathier ??

and about the offer , yeh they still offer free gifts

i have a quation about Graphics Card :
which is better GF 7400 (256) or ATI 1600 (265) no HM ( is there alote of diffrence in gaming profurming) ?

and i saw alot of notebook with GF 7600\256MB compare to ATI\256-HM512
which is worth buying almost same brand same price ?

Hmmm I would probably take the S1 if my other options from Dell (9400 w/ 7900GS or 7600) and Toshiba (p105 w/ 7900GS) are too expensive. Especially if the bundle offer is still around.

7400 is a low end card while X1600 and 7600 are more in the mid range level. The difference between the 7600 and X1600 is debatable as they both appear to be similar in performance from the articles/posts ive seen.

Cooldool, can you tell me which store you went to yesterday for the LG laptops? Also can you tell me about the other laptops that have 7600 and X1600 and prices? Im new to Dubai so dont really know alot of the places here.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but it's probably not 512mb dedicated. Probably 256mb dedicated and the rest HyperMemory or whatever marketing gimmick they're using nowadays. And SideSwipe, I don't think there's much of a difference between 128 and 256, so that shouldn't be the mainpoint upon which you base your buying decision. Of course, it's still up to you to decide, but I just wanted to inform you.

Well from what I have read there is a difference between 128 and 256 but not much by 256 and 512.

I'm glad you liked it cooldool.
But yes, it is 256 dedicated and 512 w/ hypermemory.
The difference between 256 and 512 isn't noticeable because 512mb is a lot of memory, is hard to find a game that use the whole memory.

The important thing about the 3d card is not really the memory, but the pipelines, operations per second, memory bandwidth, vertex operations, etc.
    Here are some internal specs:

    ATI X1600
    Manufacturer:ATi Series:Mobility Radeon
