I’m not sure how to explain this. I set my S1 to shut the screen after 10 min and after 10min the screen goes Black (not Off) I know this Bcuz I can see light line coming from the top and bottom on the screen.. the only way to shut the screen is if I put my lide down.
I’m not sure if this issue is related to Vista or not but I don’t remember I had this problem on XP…!!

    Anyone notice this besides me?!

I think you need to install ACPI drivers.

That sometimes happens to me while using XP.
If your Fn + F combos are working fine, try pressing Fn + F7 (which is to switch between external and notebook display) twice. The screen comes right back on on mine. Still not sure why it does that though.

    mujtaba,
Where could I find the ACPI drive? I didn’t see it in LG website..!

    AP27,
I think you get me wrong.. :D
I don’t have external monitor and when the screen goes BLACK it come back on again if I touch any button or the mouse. The only problem is the screen suppose to go OFF anfter period of time (whatever i set it for) and it doesn’t, it just go BLACK ……

xp and vista both have loads of problems with hibernation/sleep. if i were you, i would google hotfixes for hibernation/sleep to see if any of them will fix your problem.

i had a similar problem with another notebook, and for that notebook, the problem was having the camera on, while entering sleep. this probably isn't the problem that you are having, but my problem was fixed with a hotfix, so hopefully yours will too.

It’s hard to Google a hot fix for LG laptops :(

Well I guess none out there is facing something similar, so I guess I’m going to keep putting the lid down till I find the fix for it …
