I have a P1 that came with 2*512 ram and I have upgraded to topram DDR2 2*1G ram. Now it runs alot hotter then before. I think it may because I bought 800mhz ram and the laptop supports only 667mhz. When I made the purchase, I was sure that the specs were the same as the OEM and infact they were. The Laptop runs great, faster then before, but so that hot that you can't touch the ram cover for more than 5 seconds.

Also, I have a Core 2 Duo T5600, I wanted to get a T7200 or T7400(Memron) CPU. I know the 945 chipset supports them but LG doesn't have any info nor bois upgrades. Can I install a 2.16Ghz CPU?

Twice the silicon, twice the heat mate. It has nothing to do with it being 800mhz DIMMS. I wouldnt worry about it.

Cant help you on your CPU issue.
