I've had a rather serious problem occur with my LG Notebook (P1-J004A9). Recently is quit working. I was not there at the time so I dont have firsthand knowledge (my girlfriend was using it) so here's what I know so far.

    1. She wasnt using anything more taxing than Firefox. I think the other app that was running was Utorrent.
    2. The computer basically shut off like the power in the battery ran out.

Im hoping this is nothing more serious than a dead power supply. I can still hear a hum inside of the adaptor but it doesnt generate any heat. As the battery may be dead I cannot see if the computer itself is fine or not.

My hope is a dead power supply, my fear is a fried mobo. It hasnt been exposed to any power surges either.

    Any help?

See if you can get your hands on a universal power supply to test it out. I've seen the targus one go for quite cheap before.

I have pretty much the same laptop but with different specs so depending on where you are I could also lend you mine to try.
