    Hello all!

    My first post here :p

I am planning to buy the R310-G.APS1A9 notebook for my girlfriend as a present. Just wondering how it compares with the notebooks that are available out there today?

My gf currently has a toshiba 13" notebook, which is kinda slow in the processor, if i am not mistaken, it has the T2700 chipset and is 1.67ghz? so technically, it's not a duocore~

what i am looking for is a small notebook that is fast. Not fast for gaming, but fast for multitasking as in.. having word, internet explorer, movies, open at the same time~ Another important thing is that it needs to have HDMI as i need to output it to a Dell 23" LCD with 1080P resolution.

Oh by the way, does anyone know when the R310 was released?
is it a decent notebook to go with?

    Thanks! :)

I recently ordered the exact same computer for myself. It will be another week before I actually receive it. It has a T5800 2.0ghz 3gb with a 320 gb hdrive. You can upgrade the cpu to a T7800 for less than 200 dollars. It was the best deal I could find in my area and my price range approx. $900.

i just picked up the laptop today!
for a great price actually from a seller :p

where did you order your laptop for $900?
    that's actually the cheapest price i've seen for retail.. $900 + taxes~
but mine only has a 250gb HD~ did you upgrade yours to 320gb?

unfortunately.. the case right on the left side of the power button has a bulge in it :(
i mean.. for the price i got it for.. i can live with the bulge~ it's just a little bulge that comes up a bit.. i wonder if any other R310s have the same issue?

yes~ canada computers was the place i was going to order from~

for those who already have the R310.. you guys don't notice a bulge.. or a little bump in the case right above the keyboard beside the power button do you? just want to confirm that it's not the design.. :(
i might wanna call LG to see if they can fix it

another thing i've noticed is that.. the speakers seems like.. it has gone into sleep mode and when there's a sound.. it misses the beginning of that sound and only plays the end of the sound~ but after waking up from that.. it plays the sounds after it fine.. kinda like.. if you're expecting to hear a DING sound.. you just year ING.. and you miss out the D sound cause i'm guessing it took the time to wake itself up? i have checked and confirmed to have the latest sound drivers.. not sure if this is another defective issue from the laptop.. :( this happens no matter in SRS off or on modes~
