Hi I'm new to the forums here and new to notebooks as well :p

My Notebook Model: S1 Pro Express Dual S1-P322A5

I bought my notebook in Hong Kong back in January and the support guys in Canada wouldn't help me out... I'm assuming there are not much differences comparing to the North American models in hardware design..

Anyways my question is how do I upgrade the RAM on this thing if I'm aiming at 2GB.. Taken straight from the LG Hong Kong website it saids 512/1024/2048MB DDR2(667MHz, Dual Channel Support, Up to 2GB). I double-checked with the online manual it tells me that "each memory socket will only support up to 1024MB RAM and the maximum allowed is 2GB" So I thought there are 2 sockets if I open up the bottom of the notebook, but I see only one socket with a 512MB stick in it, so where is the other 512MB stick? ...

Do you guys know if theres another socket somewhere else? (please post pics if you have any) What do I need to do to get 2GB RAM on my S1 and which brands RAM work for you guys?

Sorry for the long read and thanks!

Lol… don’t worry it happened to many off us including myself

    note,
The S1 can handle up to 4GB at least that what it stated in their manual… but windows apparently cant read more than ~3GB for some reason …

3.5GB in some systems... not sure why the difference. Some are 3GB only some are 3.5. Either way memory is SO cheap you might as well go 4gb to get the dual channel benefits.
