Does LG even have an online ordering site? Or does any site rather have these on sale?!

This laptop could be an amazing hit in the States....... WHY LG?!

I could really be satisfied with it as a college lappy. :(

So any way to get one to the States? Or I'll have to agree to go to Korea this summer for some "Military training camp" my crazy dad be pushing...... -___-

Lol. It'll be worth it! :D

And no, you won't be able to order it online from Korea. Too bad you missed Ryan's offer.

There are stores that may be willing to ship the LG P330 internationally in Korea (Natadiem got his P330 shipped to Japan). But it's the kind of thing where you need to specifically ask them, in korean.

I'm thinking of doing so, but I'm holding off a bit to see if it'll be released in Canada and/or Hong Kong anytime soon.

Really? Does anybody have names/phone numbers of those stores? I have a few Korean friends to exploit for this noble purpose.

I am on a trip at the moment but tonight I will post my korean shop contact :). If u send them request in Korean they have no problem to ship. I made bank wire transfer and that was it. No custom fee for me.

Hello all! I've been lurking here for a few weeks as I'm after a new Notebook for work and am selling my now ageing Athlon x4 desktop. I needed something with ultrabook portability and ruggedness (my job means I fly a lot) but with I7 power for image editing and discrete graphics powerful enough for the odd bit of gaming. The LG P330 is the only thing that ticks all the boxes, I looked at the Samsung 7 series which came a close second but just a little on the big and heavy side and recent shortages have driven prices way too high and to significantly more than what it should be worth. I have my Pro 23" IPS monitor for image editing at home so the 1366x768 should suffice on the road although if a panel upgrade to a better 1600x900 at some point were possible I would probably do it!!

@Natadiem, I'd really like to know how I can go about importing one of these beauties to the UK through one of your contacts, if anyone is interested in a group buy UK/Europe let's get together we may be able to negotiate on price!

Thanks guys, look forward to chatting with you all.

Thank you for your info guys! I was curious because this would be the sickest college laptop for me. Trying to get into Graphic Design programs and Comp. Sci. so I was interested in an IPS with gt555m as a minimum.

AND WOAH. That military thing... 1 month... Of my senior break... Gahhh. But thanks to these wire transfer things and my very very very very basic korean, ordering one might just work... :]

Or I could just ask a relative maybe... Thank the lord for 5+ sibling families!

Keep in mind that this does not have the IPS screen.

LG has left out IPS and has used 768p TN panel instead.

This is all the information I got:
    O-Sung computer
    Tel. : 02 - 701 -5067~8
    Add. : 51-30, Wonhyoro 3-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Korea
My friend made the communication in Korea with this shop.
All I know is that it was not a big deal for them to ship. But they were out of stock and I needed to wait until LG shipped them.
If you have someone who speak Korea, please use this phone number.

Sorry but foreigners cant order directly from gmarket. I know this first hand coz I use gmarket often but I must use my Korean wifes ID here in Seoul. Gmarket requires a Korean citizens number similar to a SSN in the U.S.
Unlike in the U.S. sites here in Korea require Id users to register their Social security number

Too bad about the Gmarket not shipping to the US. Wierd that they would advertise like that. It looks like PCHome is getting ready to list the P330 and they will ship directly to the US. PCHOMEËÑË÷_LG p330 It will be good to see this notebook in wider circulation. Hopefully, it gets updated with an Ivy Bridge CPU later this year.

Yeah...but the reason it has an English menu is for foreigners living in South Korea (expats basically) the government gives us a registration card but its easier to go through my wifes ID. Less hassle coz most of the shops cant communicate in English

The PCHOME specs list 640GB HDD and 40GB SDD for both models, interesting.
If it's being released in Taiwan it might come out in HK too which would be useful for me.

I also checked and there seems to be 2 more P330 models in South Korea right now. UE4DK with a 750GB HDD rather than a 640GB one and the UE75K that doesn't have the SDD so it's cheaper than the UE70K.

There are some differences between the various models. Some have Bluetooth and some dont. The storage space varies, 640gb and 750gb
Some modles have the GeForce GT 555M while other use the GT 520 MX
All models have the same resolution.

in my opinion, the UE40K is the best model from the list. It has all the best componants offered

The UE40K is the way to go, unless you want the i7.

It seems to be the definite sweet-spot for the P330 series.

But if you are a power-user, the UE70K is also good too.

I checked it almoust and I still think that it could be replace with other processor. I didnt take the heatsink off, Im not 100% sure about it anyway :)

I have ue40K model which have mSata ssd 4gb Sandisk and Toshiba 640Gb HDD. I replaced 4gb to Intel 310 80gb mSata SSD, Toshiba to Samsung M1 1TB HDD and Kingston 4Gb ddr3 sodimm memory stick, now 8Gb. I can tell that it rocks more =)

Correct. They both use the PPGA988 socket.

I would like to remind people that the CPU is not the only component that differs between the UE40K and the UE70K:
    UE40K: i5 2435M vs UE70K: i7 2640M
    UE40K: 4GB RAM vs UE70K: 8GB RAM
    UE40K: 4GB Express Cache vs UE70K: 64GB SSD
    UE40K: 640GB HDD vs UE70K: 750GB HDD

Convel, you are 100% sure now that its possible to change those processors?

I think that the ue40K is still more better choice, because its cheaper, you can later put what ever ssd and more ram if you want and the price is still almost same with ue70K but it have then better components :) This ue70K 64Gb ssd is SanDisk or something?? It cant be faster than my Intel 310 80Gb mSata SSD??

Im with you Makro for the price difference I replaced the 4gb ram with matched 8gb of corsair ram (40usd). And bought a 128gb msata SSD for an OS drive ($179) and had a little money left over to put toward a Intel 320 300gb SSD ($350).
