I tried to install Vista 64 bit on the system. However after successfully installing new OS it kept showing the black screen with with lots of info on it (just 1 second or so but annoying). I found out that LG had partion 1 with
1GB that might done something when system boot up.

So how do I get rid of this 1GB partition and totally format the hard drive?

you want to totally format the entire drive?
Just put in your vista cd, when it brings up the partition instructions (Pretty close to the beginning), just remove both partitions, and create a new one for vista.... Or you can just remove that partition, and leave the vista one alone, using the same method, just not deleting the boot partition.

Best advice given to me was create at least two partition this way you wouldn't have to back up all your files, just move them over to one partition and reformat the other when needed.
