I just ordered a new hard drive for my P 300. This is the first laptop I've owned that doesn't allow access to the ram and hd from the bottom. It's through the keyboard on this one. After combing through 50 or more threads I know how to get the keyboard off, that's pretty straight forward.

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE GONE FURTHER AND REPLACED THE HARD DRIVE???

Any pointers or even pics would be appreciated. My new drive should be here by the weekend and when it gets here I'm goin' in regardless and I will be sure to share my experience because 320 GB ain't much these days...

My first question is will a 13mm drive fit in a P300... Cause the only thing better than 640 GB is 1000 GB... I ordered a 9mm 640 because I'm positive its the biggest that will fit in such a small unit, but If I'm wrong I'll post!

I believe you need to remove the entire top half of notebook's base. Make sure to remove the battery as I think there are a few screws under there.
