If you have LG S1,they say that for X1000 series (including X1600) it's better to use official ATI driver.

Theres no need for the omega. It is just a matter of benchmarks. I currently use the mobility catalyst 7.1 and there is no significant improvement for be using the omega. When I bench some games to see the difference with my S1 pro and my X1600, the gain was about 0.3 FPS.
Stick with the officials and your good.

The mobility catalyst driver doesn't support LG computers, so you are stuck with whatever version LG provides.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......i think from ati web site i saw that is not accepted the lg s1 to take the drivers from x1600 ....but this is because the lg force you to take them drivers but is a possibility to take from ati website them drivers :)....hehehehe

I am using the official ATI mobility catalyst 7.1! I have a LG S1 pro with a X1600! If there was no support I would not be able to be using them, but I am.

That is why that exists other sources. I downloaded from station-drivers. The older ones didn´t work, but the 7.1 work fine.
