    Hey LG forum,
After fence riding for many, many, many months on a new laptop and running the gammut of choices from Sony, Dell, Lenovo, etc, I pulled the trigger just the other day on my new P300. Bought it on the forum here as it was slightly out of my budget on a new level. Absolutely love it so far. Haven't done much with it yet but the screen is absolutely amazing and I cannot believe how light it is. Before buying this, my most recent serious thought was a Sony SR, but compared to this thing, the look and feel of it was like a toy.
    This thing rocks!

    Erg, I'm stuck b/w the p300 and the t400.

How's the battery life? Not missing an LED screen? Or the optical drive?

Has an LED screen, very thin and beautiful.
Optical drive is included and external, very nice piece.
Not a lot of hard data on battery life as of yet, but with screen brightness at
75%, wi-fi on, probably 3 and a half hours of regular use.

Pretty much the same on my end too.

T400's got great reliability/support, battery life and price, plus I don't need a wicked GPU for photoshop/painter and office use.

But the LG is sexier :(

I'm an EX-Dell, Lenovo, Sony user ... you can read in my other posts ... Lenovo and Dell left me dissappointed, their screens suck for sure and this LED LG screen is nothing short of stunning....

I did a TON of research and didn't feel right buying an LG notebook because they're not well know here, (Canada) almost ordered the T400 and then decided to try the LG first ...

Am I ever glad I did!! Has HDMI port, better screen, MUCH lighter, I love the external dvd idea, it's a well made and well thought out notebook ...

Next on our list is the is S510 ... I hope it comes to Canada ... soon !!

Bye Bye Dell, Lenovo, Sony .... :)
