...and i really want your opinion.

    I have a CD2 T5500 1.66.

When using TAT i get idle in both cores between 46~51 degrees . When i use the "load" function on TAT the 1st core reaches 72~74 degrees but the 2nd core reaches 80 degrees...is this temps normal ? My HDD temps are 35~42 degrees.

    Thanks

    Antonio

    what is tat?

anyway, it seems depending on what program you use, the temperature readings are very different

50~ is on the high side, but still in okay range....80 degrees is also not unheard of on load. you might want to consider undervolting your processor to reduce heat outpu.

TAT is Intel Thermal Analysis Tool. Maybe the cooler is not well seated ?

well, you have to understand that you have a lot of power packed into a smaller frame. to reduce the weight, i bet lg skimped a little on the cooling. is this brand new? if not, you might want to blow out the fans with compressed air.

Intel's TAT is a good program to use. Its simulates load, and can indicate temperature differences. 80 C is on the high side, but its like that because the processor is under a massive load. Make sure than the fans are running properly, and that nothing is obstructing and inlet and outlet vents of the notebook.
