The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have posted a thread in the "What to buy" section of this forum, but thought it might be relevant to do so here as well.

    The thing is that I am trying to help a friend looking for a quality, lightweight, silent, fast, powerful (for work, not games) notebook without overheating problems, and with a great display and long battery life.

    Could any of you tell me which (if any) LG notebook would be able to live up to those requirements, and thus be recommendable?
