    Hello,

I'm experiancing an inconsistant problem with my LW70; sometimes when I boot the system (from complete shutdown) I get no sound! the speaker icon is missing from the task bar, the C-Media HD driver does dot apear on the device manager and when I try to reinstall this driver windows tells me that the hardware is phisically absent!!!

If I restart the system, chances are everything will be back to normal.

    Any experiance or ideas??

    Cheers,

    Oren

have you tryed downloading the latest drivers? you can either use the Lg update or go onto the lg website, drivers and the software... when i got my T1, i had to go to the website to get the latest software... but if that doesnt work let us know.

Thanks moku. I actually did go to the c-media site - which was very little help, and to the lg site to realize that the latest driver is the same version installed currently on my machine.

But I think the problem lies somewhere else, because a: the problem is not consistant, i.e. sometimes the audio works fine, i.e. good drivers. b: when the problem ocurs, the system does not recognize the hardware phisically, like it's disconnected or not existing at all. at this state no driver will work because there is no hardware...

I suspect there is a phisical problem with the notebook which will be solved at a service shop only, but I turn to this forum to see if something similar happened to a member here.

That said, I kinda hope that is IS a software problem...

    Cheers,

    Oren

I'm having the same problem with my LW65, have for a few months, but hasn't really been a problem.

Did you end up getting yours sorted out?
