Hi, I have had this laptop for about 3 weeks and in the last couple of days the scroll part of the laptop mouse has stopped working.
I cannot work out what happened to it - or if it's been disabled. Someone else was using it and they don't know if they have done anything to it or if it is a manufactures fault. If anyone has got any ideas on how to fix this could you please let me know, as I am getting very frustrated with it.

Try reinstalling the Synaptics touchpad drivers.

Try Function (fn) F5. This will re-enable the touchpad.

I am having problems with the scroll function as well. The problem is that the scroll does not work in all applications.

At first, did not work at all in some programs like OpenOffice and Firefox. Then I updated the Synaptics drivers, and now, it works in OO and Firefox but in OO only works the vertical scroll (the horizontal doesn't). In other programs, the direction of scrolling is reversed in some windows.

    Any suggestion?

    Best,

    F.
