Hi I've just got this laptop and I wanted to beef up the memory...

Is there a list of compliant memory around the place?

Is it possible to mix memory sizes in the slots?

    Kind regards

    Hi
How much RAM does it have already 512 ?? If I am not wrong this model has DDR2 RAM which is quite expensive right now for laptops, better wait a while.

Also since I am also planning to buy this laptop...
Could u give me some feedback and if possible run benchmarks (3dMark 03)

    Thanx

From what I can tell it comes with one 512 stick.

There appears to be a spare slot for a second dimm.

Have not had a chance to set the laptop up yet, but so far I'm very impressed.

    Cheers

    G'day all & fellow Aussies - I have an LW70 and I am really pleased with it [ :)]
I had an HP8000 for a week or two but returned it - too heavy, too noisy, too hot and just over an hour 20 min battery life...
    Nice screen & kbd though [ :)]
(to be fair the HP was not really intended as a portable, more a desktop replacement)

Anyway the LW70 is so quiet & cool after this monster, the screen is just as good too.

I'm getting over 3 hrs on a battery charge just surfing and general stuff via wi-fi. The battry miser software works really well, oh and fcn F10 shows the CPU temp/battery temp & charge etc.

Would love to know where to buy accessories (spend the payback from my salary sacrifice!) like the docking station, SATA HDD/DDR2 memory etc but can't find any - I guess this thing is so full of new technology at the moment - perhaps in a few months....

If anyone wants to know about it then just ask [ :)]

I would like to know what the X600 grahics card is like. I a looking at one of these or an Acer. I have heard many bad things about Acer and only good things of LG.

Is the X600 just a PCIexpress version of the 9600, if so, that is not such a good lappy.

My old Acer had the 9700 with 64MB of dedicated VRAM.

    Cheers,
    Whytey
