Hi All - My first post to this forum .. and I need some help. I was using my LS50A last night and it just died on me. It is about 3 years old and has done a great job in all of that time.

I was using TomTom Home which was connected to my Go910 SatNav and was using the Laptop simulation of the Go910 to Demo a Route.

Suddenly the Laptop just went black and died. It won't re-start at all. I was using the power cable so the battery was fully charged. There is no green light indicating power or anything . . just blackness and silence.

The Go910 which was connected via a Home Dock and USB cable is unaffected and still works ok.

Could it be the motherboard or hard drive? I don't think so because there is no indication of power getting to the machine at all. Do these things have fuses in them? Any advice appreciated

Notebooks generally don't have fuses, because they rely on the fuse within the AC adapter, to protect the appliance. Check the AC adapter, and make sure a current is present. If not, then that may be the problem. However, if the notebook isn't booting when on bettery power, then it could be a motherboard problem.

Try removing RAM memory modules, one at a time, and test booting with each one Seperetly.
