    LGR510 hangs on shutdown

    This normally wouldn't be a problem but in the restart it always goes through the disc checks and windows doesn't like it either. Does anyone know of this problem. I am using the vista home software that came with the machine. It is also bluescreening a lot.... I have a pirate version of office installed, apart from that all is legit and scanned regulary. The only other info i have is that if it is run from boot to shutdown on battery it doesn't hang???? Strange..

    Any info really well appreciated.

    Download HD Tune and do a surface scan. Your hard drive might be failing, or your hard drive might be just a bit corrupted..
