    Hi guys,

I tried to install Vista on my LP60 (P4 3.06, 1 gig Ram, ATI 9700 128 MB), I had a problem with ATI driver, Vista was too slow i tried all drivers for ATI the one which came with OS and the new ATI driver from ATI site 7.1, but with no luck it seems that windows is working without hardware acceleration, is there anybody tried to install vista on LP60 and made it work, and if there any body knows when LG will release Vista drivers for notebooks ???

    Thanks in advance....

Hi. I suggest you follow the thread about Vista on LG S1. There might be interesting answers for you, even if it's not the same model. I have a question though: are you sure your video card is powerfull enough for Vista? I'm not saying it's not, I'm just curious... I saw stuff on TV that makes me think your card might be border line.

Thanks for your reply, i will check the reviews for S1, i dont know if there answer there; regarding your question i think my ATI 9700 with 128 MB will do fine i am not saying that i will play heavy games under vista, but i am normal user so i dont play games all the time, only internet, application such as office so i think it will perform well.

The problem in this series that ATI driver is customised for this series, and you will be under LG mercy untill they release a new driver or they simply dont :) .

I send a support email to LG support regarding drivers for vista fo LG notebooks, they answer answer that these drivers will be available between 15-20 of Feb, and they also told me that LP60 will not be with those notebooks that will have the new drivers, bad LG......
